The Challenge
The client needed a fully powered and compliant setup for her new shed in Woombye, but there was no existing electrical supply to the structure. The job called for a 42-metre underground 3-phase feed from the house, meaning trenching and careful planning around existing property features. An excavator was required to dig the majority of the trench, and while underground work often brings surprises, this one ran smoothly with hardly any issues. The next hurdle was delivering a practical internal fit-out that included lighting, general power, sensor spotlights, and timer-controlled stair lights — all wired to meet AS/NZS 3000:2018 standards and future-ready for any upgrades.
Our Solution

The Results
The finished setup gave our client a clean, safe, and fully functional power supply to the shed — with room to grow. The 3-phase sub-main and dedicated sub-board now allow for reliable use of everyday power needs, lighting, and roller doors, while also opening the door to future upgrades. With the infrastructure in place, our client had the option to install additional power outlets, lighting, or even run 3-phase woodworking machines down the track — all without needing major electrical rework. Internally, the shed is well-lit and practical, with motion-sensor security lighting and timer-controlled stair lights enhancing usability and safety. The job was completed with minimal fuss, and the underground trenching went smoothly thanks to good access and planning.
