The Challenge
The client needed to get reliable power from the house down to the shed to run machines, tools, and lighting. They also wanted to future-proof the setup with capacity for a fan and potential air conditioning. Lighting was limited, especially at the front and side of the shed, which impacted usability after dark.
Our Solution
Atlas Power Solutions installed a dedicated underground sub-main from the house to the shed, ensuring reliable 240V supply with capacity for future upgrades like air conditioning. We fitted a sub-board, multiple GPOs, and installed high-output LED lighting inside the shed, along with external lights to improve visibility at the front and side. The setup was designed to handle workshop loads and provide flexibility for future tools and appliances.
The Results
The client now has a fully powered and functional shed with reliable supply for tools, machines, and everyday use. The lighting upgrades made the space far more usable after dark, inside and out. With the sub-board and wiring setup, they also have the flexibility to easily add a fan or air conditioning in the future. The install was clean, efficient, and built with future expansion in mind — adding long-term value to the property.
